   Kasbah of Agadir

   The hilltop kasbah above Agadir, built in 1540 and holding the old town until the earthquake of 1960 destroyed it and everything inside. The walls survive as a viewpoint over the port and the bay; a cable car now climbs to it.

   Crocoparc Agadir

   A crocodile park opened in 2015 at Drarga outside Agadir, with over three hundred Nile crocodiles along with tortoises, iguanas and pythons, laid out in a botanical garden. It is what parents in Agadir do on a hot afternoon.

   Olhão Garden

   A public garden in the rebuilt Talborj district, opened on Throne Day in March 1992 and named after Olhão in the Portuguese Algarve, Agadir's twin town — the connection being that Portuguese sailors built the first fort here in 1505.

   Mohammed V Mosque of Agadir

   The main mosque of Agadir, rebuilt along with the rest of the city after the earthquake of 1960 levelled it, and named for the king who drove that reconstruction. Plain white walls and a square minaret stand over the new town.

   Agadir Catholic Church

   The Catholic church of Sainte-Anne, built in the 1930s as a low white building with a bell wall rather than a tower. It came through the earthquake of 1960 that destroyed most of Agadir and still serves a small congregation.
