   A zoo covering 292 hectares in the Kavečany district, and among the largest by area in Europe. Most of it is wooded hillside with animals in big enclosures, which means a good deal of walking; a road train runs in summer.

   Plague Chapel of St. Rosalie

   A small chapel at the foot of the Red Bank, raised in 1714-15 in memory of the plague that had swept Kosice two years before. Rebuilt in 1785 on a priest's endowment and restored in 1898, it is the town's oldest plague memorial.
