   Grand Strand

   An arc of beach running some ninety-seven kilometres from Little River down to Georgetown, of which Myrtle Beach is the middle. It is one of the most heavily visited stretches of coast in the United States, with golf courses inland at a similar density.

   Family Kingdom Amusement Park

   A seaside park on Ocean Boulevard with 37 rides, the oldest of them the Swamp Fox, a 2,400-foot wooden coaster running since 1966. The city declared the coaster a historic structure in 2017, and the big wheel above the beach is a landmark of the strand.

   An amusement park of eleven acres that stood at Ninth Avenue and Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. It had more than forty rides and was known for the wooden coaster Hurricane: Category 5.
