   Nearly four hundred aircraft on thirty-two hectares beside Davis-Monthan air force base — one of the largest aviation collections anywhere, including a Blackbird and a presidential Kennedy aircraft. Bus tours run into the adjacent boneyard where several thousand aircraft are stored.

   Mission San Xavier del Bac

   A Spanish mission church of 1797 on the Tohono O'odham reservation, sixteen kilometres south of Tucson, whitewashed and known as the White Dove of the Desert. Its painted and carved interior is the most complete example of Mexican baroque anywhere in the United States.
