   Iguazú National Park

   The Argentine side of the falls, and the one with the walkways: catwalks run out over the top of the Devil's Throat and along the lower circuit, which puts you inside the spray rather than opposite it. The park also holds jaguar, tapir and a great many coatis.

   Iguaçu National Park

   Created by federal decree on 10 January 1939 and listed by UNESCO in 1986, the park covers some 185,000 hectares of Atlantic rainforest on the Brazilian side of the border. It shares the falls, a 2,700-metre curtain of cataracts, with the Argentine park facing it.

   Parque das Aves

   A bird sanctuary at Foz do Iguaçu in Paraná in Brazil, close to the falls. It opened in 1994 and shows birds together with butterflies and other animals across sixteen hectares of forest, with walk-through aviaries.

   Cathedral of San Juan Bautista

   The cathedral of the Foz do Iguacu diocese, dedicated to John the Baptist and standing on Avenida Jorge Schimmelpfeng in the middle of town. The Parana and the Paraguayan border lie close by, with the bridge to Argentina three kilometres south.
