   Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo

   The palace in which Puyi lived as the puppet emperor of Manchukuo from 1932 to 1945, kept as a museum of the occupation. The rooms are small and the whole thing was converted from a salt-tax office, which the exhibition treats as the point rather than an embarrassment.

   Jingyuetan National Forest Park

   A forest park eighteen kilometres southeast of Changchun in Jilin. It covers more than a hundred square kilometres, was planted in 1934 and made a forest park in 1989, and its lake was listed as a national scenic area in 1998.
