   Yuantong Temple

   Yuantong Temple is the principal temple of Kunming, with twelve hundred years behind it, laid out unusually with an octagonal pavilion in a pond enclosed by galleries. It stands in the middle of the city and is seen with Green Lake Park.

   Yunnan Provincial Museum

   The provincial museum of Yunnan, founded in 1951 and since 18 May 2015 in a new building in Guandu. Its strength is the bronze work from the Dian kingdom tombs at Jinning on Lake Dian, shown alongside the dress and crafts of the province's minority peoples.

   Qiongzhu Temple

   Qiongzhu Temple, on the flank of the Western Hills, is famous for its five hundred arhats. Each face is different, and the sculptures are regarded as the high point of Qing-dynasty figure carving.

   Yunnan Nationalities Museum

   A general ethnological museum on the eastern shore of Dianchi at Kunming in Yunnan, beside the Yunnan Nationalities Village. It opened on 9 November 1995 and covers some two hundred mu, with 130,000 square metres of building.

   The Diamond Throne Pagoda of the Miaozhan Temple

   A five-spired diamond-throne pagoda at Miaozhan Temple in the old town of Guandu, Kunming, Yunnan. Begun in 1290 under the Yuan and finished in 1295, it later collapsed after being submerged.
