Mazatlán runs a seafront promenade of some twenty kilometres, among the longest anywhere, with cliff divers working a rock at one end for tips.

The old town around Plazuela Machado was restored from near-ruin and now holds the theatre and the good restaurants. Its carnival, running since the 1890s, is one of the largest in the Americas. Shrimp is the local catch.

    A football stadium at Mazatlán in Sinaloa in Mexico, opened in 2020 and holding twenty-five thousand. It was the home ground of Mazatlán FC.

    Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Mazatlán

    The cathedral of Mazatlán, finished in 1899 in a mixture of baroque revival and neo-Gothic with yellow-tiled towers. Its chandeliers and much of its fitting-out were paid for by the town's Jewish merchants, which is why Stars of David appear in the windows.
