   Magnetic Island National Park

   A mountainous island of fifty-two square kilometres eight kilometres off Townsville, most of it national park, and effectively a suburb reached by ferry. It holds the densest koala population in northern Australia, and the Forts Walk past wartime gun emplacements is where they are seen.

   Sacred Heart Cathedral, Townsville
