   Cellular Jail

   A prison built between 1896 and 1906 with six hundred and ninety-three solitary cells in seven wings radiating from a tower, designed so that no prisoner could see another. Indian nationalists were transported here; three wings survive.

   Mount Manipur National Park

   A small national park on South Andaman declared in 1969, around a hill of three hundred and eighty-three metres — the third highest point in the islands. The view from it once appeared on the Indian twenty-rupee note.

   Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

   A marine national park near Wandoor on South Andaman, taking in fifteen islands and the reefs between them. Glass-bottomed boats and snorkelling trips run out to Jolly Buoy and Red Skin, which open in alternate seasons.
