   A former convent of Franciscan tertiary sisters founded in 1273 and closed at the secularisation. Its church and cloister buildings still stand in the village, which took its name from the house.

   St. Alexander und Theodor

   The Benedictine abbey church of Ottobeuren, rebuilt between 1737 and 1766 and among the great baroque interiors of southern Germany. Fresco, stucco and marble run the length of a nave some 90 metres long, with three organs by Karl Joseph Riepp in the choir.

    St. Georg

    The abbey church of a Benedictine house founded in 1093, rebuilt in Gothic form and given its baroque dress in the 18th century. Joseph Gabler built the organ between 1728 and 1734, the instrument on which he learned the trade before the great one at Weingarten.
